Had not tested much, just wanted to see if it's workable and looks like there is potential here. The scale I'm using is .01 points per 52 cards with a -3 time adjustment and all cycles turned on. I'm sure these are not the optimal settings but it gets you in the ball park to do some research.

Hi Barrie,

How can you obtain the playing Cards so thin?. I cannot find the way, mines are too thick on my screens like in Earik webinar.

Thank you for your help

I can't get 240 to work rightbut the 60 seems ok. The shorter term mightbe thebest for the tool. My settings for the 60 min; .0052 per 52 cards and .0001 for width rest default - I'm onl yusing the main card for the day.

Hi Dirk,

The s/r levels would be the same for each day regardless of the time frame, if you have a 4 hr forecast then you can still use the same s/r levels, just that it's easy to see on a 60 min than on a 4hr chart, it's much easier to see the interaction between price and the lines with a lower time frame than higher. I know a guy that trades the forex using daily and 4hr charts but he drops down to 60 min or even 15 min charts for entry.

That said, in the cards you can adjust the scale so that you can have it adjust to whatever you are trading - the option; points per 52 cards will let you have almost unlimited control over the point spread between each cycle, I just plotted what was quick and easy to get you in the ball park. Now that you have the scales I used, it will be easier to fine tune it.

Hope this helps.

Barrie

I tried plotting card cycles on longer time frame for other Markets and also could not get it to look right.
But then when I started thinking about it, it really should not be plotted on anything longer than 60min time frame, it is meant to be short term intra-day support resistance indicator, and besides the fact that we get a new card every 24 hours, which is only 6 four hour bars, smaller cycles become totally useless because they are too close.

The whole completed cycle for this tool is one day, so it should be used in that context.

Best,

well said simon, something like the 5 min looks great and you have more control over formatting too.

Hi Dirk,

Yes, you can use them on longer time frames, but they'll be spotty. Unlike flux lines, which move slowly from day to day, cards jump all over the place. The farther out you go, the more disjointed things will get, which makes it less useful on really long time frames. There is a way to do that using cycles other than the card of the day, but it hasn't been built into W59 yet.

Natals can plot on daily charts in Private. You have control over the master planet, which will allow you to tune to much longer cycles.

Regards,

Earik

Hi Dirk,

See the chart below:

/idealbb/files/dirk_cards1.png

That's a 4-hour chart of the ES. The blue lines are the cards of the day, which work, but the subcycles are just too small to be helpful and are scattered around the chart as little dots. Those subcycles are pretty important, and you'd want to be able to use them, but they're only useful on smaller time frames.
